Blues masters: The essential history of the blues
23 June 2005This is an ok DVD, but by no means an “essential history of the blues”. The highlight for me was Leadbelly’s “pick a bale of cotton”.
Freddie King: The!!!!beat
23 June 2005This DVD features Freddie King’s live performance for the TV show the!!!beat. Freedie King is backed by Clarance Gatemouth Brown’s band who sometimes are too loud and bury Freddie’s amazing guitar riffs. The booklet of the dvd can be found here.

17 June 2005This is probably one of the best heist movies. Not crappy movies featuring your highly sophisticated bank robbers like the new Ocean’s eleven, and the new Italian job.
Phyllis: Grimm? You’ve got a gun - shoot them.
Grimm: I want to, but shooting fur-bearing idiots would require a permit.

Grimm: I want to thank you. You could’ve given us help, but you’ve given us so much more.
Street Sign Worker: [cheerfully] Hey! What’s what we’re here for, huh?
Have gun will travel: Season 1
17 June 2005Richard Boone plays Paladin, the original man in black:
I don’t think you got a very good look at this gun while you had it. The balance is perfect. This trigger responds to a pressure of one ounce. If you look carefully in the barrel you’ll see the lines of the rifling. It’s a rarity in a hand weapon. This gun was handcrafted to my specifications and I rarely draw it unless I mean to use it. Would you care for a demonstration?
